Steve Willey presents Opera an Elegy: In the Duino Elegies Rainer Maria Rilke wrote that 'Every angel is Terrifying'. In Opera an Elegy planets have replaced Rilke's angels: 'they are not angels they are rocks, forests of seeping stars'.
Steve Willey is a Collaborative Doctoral Student at Queen Mary University of London working on British Poetry and Performance 1960-2008: The Work of Bob Cobbing. As a poet he works collaboratively with composers and musicians, and he also co-runs the website openned.com and its associated reading series.
